Anniversary No.2

Our marriage turned 2 yesterday so we got all dressed up and went out for dinner at a great restaurant called Grazia's on the beachfront.

Happy birthday dear marriage...happy birthday to you.

Thank you Lord. Your grace is enough to make this union all it should be. Yeeehaaaa!!!

Igoda Beach

I had already taken Monday off to give us the long weekend and had resigned myself to working the public holiday which was yesterday. As it would happen around 11am my boss came strolling down the passage and told the handful of us at work to pack up and go home! That sounded good to me. I was home by 11:15am and promptly fell asleep until about 2pm. Obviously I had worked really hard that morning!!!

The weather was top and we could not waste the remainder of the day. So a spontaneous decision was made to head of for a picnic at Igoda beach which is about 20 minutes out of town in the Port Alfred direction. (Tess has been desperately wanting to try out our new self-contained picnic set.) It was quite risky as there was a little breeze starting and the odd cloud around. Anyway it turned out to be a cracker! There was no wind, the sea was 21degrees which we took full advantage of and we were there until after sunset. Due to the distance from town it was nice and uncrowded but no too empty as to make you wonder why you are the only people there!!!

Here are some pics….

Weekend Away

We headed off to Kleinemonde with granny this weekend to stay with Dave and Bev Pylmpton...Tessa's, and now my, aunt and uncle.

We had a really good time. Most of it was spent indoors as the weather was quite stormy. There were the occasional patches of sunshine that we took full advantage of either walking on the beach or paddling up the river in the canoe. We both took Monday off so we had a nice long weekend and feel like we have been away for ages.

Monday night we had a combo bachelors/kitchen tea. Our friends from church are getting married this Saturday. It was a really fun evening with them each given one task. Sharon had to, with the help of artist Darren, complete a painting for Craig. Craig, with my help, had to write and perform a song for Sharon. They had about an hour to do it in. Both came out really well and the song was very humourous with a serious side thrown in the middle!!

Good times!

Highway Community Camp

No I have not forgotten to blog. A mixture of work keeping me busy and out of the office and so much to say and not a cooking clue how to say it...!

We had our church getaway this past weekend. As I pondered the wisdom of trying to write about having a life course altering-focusing encounter with GOD and get the truth across in a manner worthy of the encounter I decided I could not so I will not.

The end.
